Carefully finished and thoroughly good examples of the Strad, Amati, Guar models. Absolute transcripts of the Cremonese collectors should search for them. Workmanship conscientiously wrought, and evidently without a grudging of time or labour. Two varnishes, a fine golden colour, and a very transparent and warm-looking dark red, Cremonese imitated but unquestionably harder in quality.
