He was born in 1948 in Salsomaggiore Terme.
In 1966 he graduated from the Interna-tional School for Violin-Making in Cremona, under the guidance of Masters Garimberti, Sgarabotto and Sacconi, deepening his knowledge with Master Ornati. In 1967?1969? he cooperated with Master Morassi for the construction of viols.
Between 1968?1969?-1971 he worked as a violinmaher with Master Bissolotti. In this period he also collaborated with Master Sacconi, restoring precious instruments.
In 1967 he received the gold medal, and in 1969 the silver medal, for a violin at the lvIostre Mercato of Cremona.
1970 a silver medal for a violin in Bagnacavallo.
He also received prestigious achnowledgemenls at the 1 st International Triennial Competitionfor Bow Instruments in Cremona and at the "Exemplar 78" in Munich, Germany.
He has been a jury-member at the Inter-national Triennial Competition of Cremona, at the Finnish Violin-Making Competition in Helsinhi and for the Bien-nial International Competition in Quere-taro, Mexico.
In 1997 he represented Cremonese violin-making at Maastricht, and in 2000 he participated in an exhibition oj Italian violin-mahing at the invitation of the Chinese government.
From 1975 to 2005 he taught at the In-ternational School for Violin-Making. While teaching, he experimented numerous times with the construction oj diffe-rent instruments other than those of the quartet, collaborating with students, who got various achnowledgements.
