Detail Introduction

Dai Peng was born 1930 in Beijing. Between 1945 and 1951 he worked as a woodworker and then took up violin making in '51. While studying the craft at the Beijing Violin Factory， he benefited from close working with Maestro Dai Hong-Xiang. He placed 6th at the 1980 1st National Competition， and was the 3rd place winner at the 2nd National Competition held in 1987.
