Hugues Emile Blondelet was born in 1875 and died in 1928. He joined Thibouville-Lamy in Mirecourt in 1890 at the age of 15, where his work rapidly became known for its excellent quality. The vast majority of Blondelet's work was based on either the Amati or Stradivarius pattern and his instruments are described as having considerable sonority.
