Detail Introduction

Grad: Cremona Violin School, 1986. Brother of Federico. Labels have a black cat on them. Michele Mecatti, born in Naples in July 1964. He became interested in violin making when he was 16. 1982, after graduating, he went to Cremona violin making school with his brother Federico. 1986, he got his diploma under the guidance of Vincenzo Bissolotti. 1988, Michele moved to France, for further study of violin making. 1990, he worked with Pierre Barthel and Berbard Sabatier in Rue de Rome in Paris. and he also became interested in bow making, and started bow makingin Jean Grunberger's workshop. 1997, he started his own workshop in Gennevilliers.
