Georges Chanot III (b 1830; d 1895) , b Paris, d London  son and pupil of Georges(2), born at Paris , first worked in father's workshop. Assistant to Maucotel in London, 1851-1857, established own business premises in Wardour Street, 1858. Gained an undisputed reputation. All the principal players, English and Continental flocked to his place to enjoy or benefit by his counsels. Received a 'mention honourable' at the Paris Exhibition, 1878.
