Born at Dulcinio 1891, lived at Cairo, 1914. went to Bologna to study with Pollastri, 1920. won diploma of merit, 1925. returned to Egypt and set up at Alexandria, moved to Cairo, 1941. Modelling more or less Strad, absolutely free of any new-fangled ideas interiorally, winsome arching, fine curvaturing of the scroll, graceful sound-holes, and good textured varnish. Instru highly praised by Kubelik, Huberman, and Heifeta, Presented King Farouk with a quartet.
