Initially a violinist, Evasio Emilio Guerra soon turned to violin making and is thought to have received his training from Carlo Oddone. He worked fast and almost entirely for other makers, including Fagnola, Oddone, Rinaldi and Francesco Guadagnini, sulying violi in the white. His personal itruments are generally made on a Rocca or Guadagnini model and have earned him a reputation as one of Turin\'s finest 20th-century makers.
