Paolo (Bashir) Ansaloni, born in Bologna, Italy, has always been fond of science and music. At 21 he follows the aspiration to an inner search that led him to a first trip to India to study Indian music and practicing yoga.  In the seventies he undertakes ethno musicological studies and simultaneously starts in Bologna a violin making workshop.
