Born at Finale Emilia (Modena), 1866. Son and pupil of Giuseppe. Resident several years at Palermo where he studied violin-playing and composition at the Bellini Conservatorio. Established at Rome, 1892, and later merged his business into that of Sgarbi and Sons. Lived a few years at Modena. Admirable modelling, fully developed to a healthy vigorous appearance. Beautiful wood and orange-red varnish. Connoisseurs and violinists bestow considerable patronage on these brilliantly toned instruments. £250, 1960. Son of Giusee.
