Alfredo Averna1902年出生在Caltanissetta，跟随父亲Alfonso学习，在Palermo工作，作品非常优秀，曾任Bellini Conservatorio的维修师，曾在许多国家获得学位证书和奖项，还制作了许多琴弓。

他在1937年以一把小提琴参加了在Cremona举办的现代小提琴制琴比赛并且赢得了些重要的奖项。他的模板大多源自于Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri和Gagliano。自1930年开始跟他的儿子Henry一起工作。
