制琴师，维修师，收藏家，经销商。1874年出生于Islington, Wittenburg，1892年到美国，1897年到Baltimore ，并于1898年在那里成立工作室。跟随Carl G. Scheytt 学习过制琴，采用Stradivarius (Le Piccioli), Guarnerius Joseph Del Gesu (le Tuscan), Amati (Nicolas) large model等作为模板。

有的乐器贴标\Carl C. Holzapfel\, 制作了250余把乐器。
